Campus Feminism Beyond Gender Cells and Poster Weeks

Many colleges perform feminism once a year: a poster, a panel, a pink ribbon. Meanwhile, women’s hostel gates close at dusk, complaint committees bury cases, and “reputation of the college” outweighs survivor safety.

Material Demands

Student feminism that matters fights for: - Equal mobility rules across hostels - Transparent POSH / ICC processes - Mental health support without parental surveillance - Protection for queer students and interfaith couples - An end to dress-code moralism

Institutional Capture

Administrations love “empowerment workshops” that avoid naming perpetrators. Real campus feminism is disruptive because it threatens alumni donations and brand mythology. That is a feature, not a bug.
