Women wait longer for pain diagnosis. Symptoms are coded as hysteria, hormones, or stress. Conditions that primarily affect women are underfunded. Clinical trials historically excluded pregnant people and then treated male bodies as default.

Trust as a Feminist Demand

Patient advocacy is exhausting unpaid labor. Bring a witness. Ask for notes. Seek second opinions. Demand that “we don’t know” is said aloud instead of “it’s all in your head.”

Healthcare that does not believe women cannot heal them.
